Battling with UK’s Royal Anglian’s 1/B…the “Vikings”

The last decade for "The Vikings" has been all about demanding operational tours overseas. The Battalion has seen service in Afghanistan in 2002, Iraq in 2005 and then again to Afghanistan in 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2015. This high tempo of operational commitments has shaped the Battalion into one of the premiere Light Role infantry battalions in the British Army. Over that period its officers and soldiers have earned many awards for bravery including 10 Military Crosses, 2 DSOs, 3 MBEs and 1 QGM.
