중국해군, Type-072A(Yuting II) 급 전차상륙함 취역

중국해군이 지난 2015년 10월 21일 Type-072A(Yuting II) 급 전차상륙함의 제11번함인 LST-982 태행산(太行山. Taihanshan)을 취역시켰다고 IHS Jane이 중국 현지언론을 인용하여 2015년 10월 26일(현지시간) 보도했다.

중국해군의 Type-072A의 NATO 분류코드는 Yuting II-class 이다.

Type-072A(Yuting II) 급 전차상륙함은 지난 2003~2004년 사이에 9척이 취역한 배수량 4,800톤급 전차상륙함이다.

북해함대에 LST-911 천주산(天柱山), LST-912 대청산(大青山) 2척이 배치되어 있다.

동해함대에는 LST-913 팔선산(八仙山) 한척만 배치되어 있다.

남해함대에 LST-992 화정산(华顶山), LST-993 라소산(罗宵山), LST-994 재운산(戴云山), LST-995 만양산(万羊山), LST-996 노철산(老铁山), LST-997 운무사(云雾山) 등 6척이 배치되어 대만 상륙작전용 자산으로 운용되는 상륙함이다.

5대의 중형(中型) 전차를 수송할 수 있다.

중국은 최근 6척의 Type-072A(Yuting II) 급 전차상륙함을 추가로 건조하고 있다.

이중 2015년에 3척이 건조되었는데 LST-981 대별산(大别山)은 지난 2015년 5월 13일 취역했고, 이번에 LST-982 태행산(太行山)이 취역한 것이다.

LST-983은 진수되어 현재 무장을 장착중이고 함명은 알려지지 않았다.

따라서 중국해군은 총 15척의 Type-072A(Yuting II) 급 전차상륙함을 보유 운용하게 된다.

Chinese media has reported that the commissioning of a Type 072A Yuting II-class landing ship tank (LST) vessel, Taihanshan (982), took place on 21 October.

The LST is the second to be commissioned this year. Dabieshan (981) was commissioned on 23 May.

Nine other Type 072A LSTs are already in commission, although the most recent of these was completed in 2005. Internet sources suggest that an order for six more has been placed, with four to be built at the Wuchang shipyard in Wuhan, and two in Fujian.

The first Type 072 LSTs were introduced in the late 1970s, and the class has been developed through four variants. The latest of these, the Type 072A, is 120 m long with a full load displacement around 4,800 tonnes. Equipped with bow doors and a stern ramp, the vehicle deck runs the full length of the ship, under the bridge superstructure, and is capable of embarking up to 10 armoured vehicles. A total of 250 marines can also be carried. The ship has a flight deck for helicopter operations, although no hangar is fitted.

The latest two ships appear to be very similar to the previous Type 072A, although the twin 37 mm turret on the fo'c'sle has been replaced by a single-barrelled H/PJ-17 30 mm mounting, and a satellite communications aerial has been installed aft of the forward mast. Two cranes are positioned on the upper deck, forward of the bridge, to facilitate offloading equipment into boats alongside or a jetty.
